A whale of a tale! Apr 18, 2004 This is a great book for teens and adults. I was fascinated with Billy Sharp, the fifteeen year-old main character, and his adventures off the North Atlantic Coast with his aunt and a sea captain named Arrow. The story is exciting, full of action and suspense. I found Billy to be realistic and his story to be very interesting. Billy learns a lot about life and what matters in this book, and I found his up close meeting with a whale while out in a small boat to be as riveting a passage as I've ever read. If you're looking for a short, fast-paced novel that has wonderful themes of truth, fairness, compassion and respect for nature then this is your type of book!
